Grammys 2020 Aftermath; Winners & Moments


Sad day at the Grammys, as a legendary icon died in a helicopter crash moments just before the ceremony. Even more tragic was a Father and daughter dying together on the spot, Rest well in the Heavens Kobe Bryant and daughter, Gianna as well as all the victims of the crash.
Well back to the 62 ND Grammy Award Ceremony which took place on Sunday night at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on the 26th of January 2020. 


It was definitely an eventful night with tributes going to Kobe Bryant. As for the big winner, Teenage sensation and new comer Billie Eilish walked away with five (5) awards of the seven (7) that she was nominated for. Not only has she broken Taylor Swifts record of being the youngest winner for Album of the year and Best new Artist, but she only the second ever to win all the BIG FOUR Categories, that is, Album of the Year. Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist (Now third year in a row that a female artist has won the Best new Artist award). The only other person to walk away with the Grammy award for these four categories was Christopher Cross in 1981.


Lizzo was the most nominated artist, with 8 nods, winning three (3) and another big winner was Lil Nas with his 2019 record breaking Billboard hit, Old Town Road, which won the Best Pop Duo award. Here is a full list of this year’s winners;
