Sad
day at the Grammys, as a legendary icon died in a helicopter crash moments just
before the ceremony. Even more tragic was a Father and daughter dying together
on the spot, Rest well in the Heavens Kobe Bryant and daughter, Gianna as well
as all the victims of the crash.
Well
back to the 62 ND Grammy Award Ceremony which took place on Sunday night at the
Staples Centre in Los Angeles on the 26th of January 2020.
It was definitely
an eventful night with tributes going to Kobe Bryant. As for the big winner,
Teenage sensation and new comer Billie Eilish walked away with five (5) awards
of the seven (7) that she was nominated for. Not only has she broken Taylor
Swifts record of being the youngest winner for Album of the year and Best new
Artist, but she only the second ever to win all the BIG FOUR Categories, that
is, Album of the Year. Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist
(Now third year in a row that a female artist has won the Best new Artist
award). The only other person to walk away with the Grammy award for these four
categories was Christopher Cross in 1981.
Lizzo
